Master the strategies and skills of fantasy football

Getting Started with Fantasy Football

Fantasy football is a skill-based game where you build and manage a virtual team of real football players. Your team earns points based on the actual performance of your selected players in real-life matches. The better your players perform on the pitch, the more points your fantasy team scores.

At FantasyFootballGo, we've created an engaging platform that rewards football knowledge, analytical thinking, and strategic decision-making. Whether you're a seasoned fantasy manager or new to the game, this guide will help you understand the basics and develop winning strategies.

Still Have Questions?

We're here to help you get started

How many transfers can I make each week?

You can make one free transfer each gameweek. Any additional transfers will cost you 4 points per transfer. If you don't use your free transfer in a gameweek, you can save it for the following gameweek (maximum of 2 free transfers).

What happens if my player gets injured?

If one of your starting players doesn't play in a gameweek due to injury or any other reason, they will be automatically substituted with the first player on your bench who played in that gameweek, provided the substitution doesn't break your formation rules.

How do private leagues work?

Private leagues allow you to compete with friends, family, or colleagues. To create a private league, go to the 'Leagues' section and select 'Create a League.' You'll receive a unique code that you can share with others to join your league. You can be a member of up to 20 private leagues.

What special chips are available and how do they work?

There are four special chips available during the season:

  • Wildcard: Rebuild your entire squad without any transfer cost (available twice per season)
  • Triple Captain: Triple your captain's points for one gameweek
  • Bench Boost: Score points from all your bench players in addition to your starting XI
  • Free Hit: Make unlimited free transfers for a single gameweek, with your squad returning to its previous state the following gameweek

Each chip can only be used once per season (except Wildcard, which can be used twice).

Can I change my team name during the season?

Yes, you can change your team name at any time during the season. Go to the 'Team Details' section in your account settings to update your team name.
